About Sharon Starling, Director
A native of the Washington DC area, soprano and choral director Sharon Starling received a B.S. in vocal performance at the University of Maryland. Ms Starlings experience now extends over decades. Before moving to Milford, Delaware, she has performed at her cabaret show “Brief Encounters tm” in many Washington D.C. venues and nationally. She has directed the Chancel Choir in concert performances at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington D.C., the Washington National Cathedral, and the Kennedy Center. She is the founder and past director of development of the Shalom School After School for the Arts and past music director at Colesville United Methodist Church, Silver Spring. She also held a position on the Music faculty of St. Joseph’s School in Beltsville, Maryland.


About Kevin B. Chamberlain, Assistant Director/Accompanist
Kevin B. Chamberlain is the Minister of Music and Organist at Avenue United Methodist Church in Milford, Delaware. He became the assistant director/accompanist for the Children’s Chorus in the Fall of 2015. Kevin grew up in Seaford, Delaware and has always been active in the United Methodist Church. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky, and a Master of Music in Church Music with an emphasis in Organ Performance from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Kevin is involved with various professional music organizations where he serves as the registrar/treasurer of the Southern Delaware Chapter of the American Guild of Organists and a member-at-large of the Delaware Chapter of the American Guild of Organists. He has long been an active member of the Fellowship of United Methodists in Music and Worship Arts, Handbell Musicians of American, the American Choral Directors’ Association, as well as the Hymn Society in the U.S. and Canada. Kevin serves as a member of the Board of Laity for the Peninsula-Delaware Conference of the United Methodist Church.
